Introducing the Megazyme Protein Digestibility Assay Kit (K-PDCAAS)
The Protein Digestibility Assay Kit (K-PDCAAS) is used for in vitro measurement of the Animal-Safe Accurate Protein Quality Score (ASAP-Quality Score Method) developed under patent by David Plank of WRSSFNI and Medallion Labs. This digestibility score, in conjunction with the essential amino acid profile plus protein and moisture content of the sample, is used to calculate the Protein Digestibility Corrected Amino Acid Score (PDCAAS) value. The ASAP-Quality Score Method offers an animal free way to test with a high correlation to rat digestibility, as well as a lower price point and a faster turnaround time.

WRSSFNI in partnership with Medallion Labs, is moving towards AACC method approval by moving forward with a collaborative laboratory study using the ASAP PDCAAS kit. WRSSFNI is looking for laboratories who would like to participate.
